This lilac Mabe Pearl ring is inspired by the King Protea. It is set in 18ct white gold with each petal encrusted with a total of 104 diamonds (0.51cts). The King Protea is the best known of all proteas. Prized worldwide it is honoured as the national flower of South Africa.
Shelley creates feminine, in-vogue, unique jewellery in her workshop in Cape Town’s trendy Wynberg Chelsea. She believes jewellery makes a statement and, therefore, should be worn, shown-off and enjoyed. Specifically-selected, traditional precious metals and stones embrace an appreciation of the city’s indigenous flora. With an emphasis on colour and texture, the surprise is in the detail. Diplomas in jewellery design, manufacture and silver-smithing at the Richmond College in London, and at the University of Technology in Cape Town have helped enhance Shelley’s phenomenal creativity.
