We draw our inspiration from an affection with the endangered.  Here today gone tomorrow.  We are the purveyors of rare and distinctive merchandise; mostly handmade called Intimate Rarities.   

Hidden gems never litter the beaten path so discovery holds a special fascination.  There is an air of individuality, adventure and savvy that goes with being on the list.

The Last Word is a niche lifestyle brand far from the mainstream.  Intimate rarities are handcrafted by talented artists with the courage and imagination to provide novel treasures of esteem.  Something that is freely available is never distinctive, so you won’t find Intimate Rarities anywhere else because they are offered as one of a kind merchandise or very limited editions.

We don’t serve the inclinations of the herd.  We appreciate that in most humans there is an instinctive desire to be singular and different even though we seek each other’s company.  Our customers are thus people who prefer the fascination of roads less travelled in search of the allure of hidden gems.

  They choose not to run with the herd.  They are on the other list; individual, independent, understanding the relationship between scarcity, quality and added value, expecting authenticity and meaning from things around which they can weave their own personalised story.

So every item we sell has a story of its own, its own provenance and right to exist.  We believe the scarcer things are, and the more compelling the story, the greater the endangered affection.
