The Roundhouse Restaurant

This coming week I will finally eat at the Roundhouse. It’s something I’ve been planning on doing for quite some time. However, for some reason, it has never worked out. Hopefully this week will be different.

I noticed, when I was at the 2009 Eat Out Awards, that they placed in the Top 10. Not bad. Obviously it’s no Michelin Star, but I’ve already covered that. There is really no point beating the horse to death.

Apparently the Roundhouse is the second oldest building in Cape Town and they want their guests to believe it is haunted. I myself grew up in a country manor, far older than anything in South Africa, and never once had a run in with any ghosts. It’s an interesting angle but it doesn’t appeal to me. I, Countess Josephine de Ville, would never visit a restaurant to meet their pseudo ghosts. I have better things to do.

I do hope their food is good because spirit-world entertainment isn’t really an experience I’d label as exceptional.
