Long Sticks and Small Holes

Itching to do something fun, not too strenuous and of course outside - a group of us decided to head out to play a round of mini golf in Sea Point. Not really a hidden gem as such, since it is on the Sea Point promenade, but definitely a gem of some sort considering that a game of 18 holes is only R24 per person and this is something people of all ages can take part in.

Overlooking the ocean I don’t think you’d be able to find a better setting for a Mini Golf course, which makes focussing on the game a little more of a challenge.

Being outside and exposed to the elements, the course wasn’t too badly damaged and even though it was busy on the day we went, we never waited for more than a couple of minutes to move onto the next hole. On Beach Road along the Sea Point promenade I have always seen the course but it was only the other day that I played on it for the first time, and for someone who thinks the concept of swinging a long club at a tiny ball aiming for an equally small hole – is rather a silly one, I was pleasantly surprised at the fun that we had.

I’d say come along and give it a try...
