Lazy Days at cafe Roux
"We wanted to create a special place where we could sit outside in the sun with our family and friends, eating great food, drinking our favourite wine. Simply enjoying life..." this is the idea behind cafe Roux and they certainly do live up to their goal.
Cafe Roux is a hidden gem of a restaurant nestled in the evermore popular Noordhoek Village where one or many can relax in the sun and enjoy great food, great service and a unique atmosphere. Cafe Roux is family owned and run and one can expect the warm hospitality of husband and wife, Paul and Bern, and sister Lindi on arrival and throughout your stay. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch from Tuesdays to Sundays and the menu offers wide choice, but remains uncluttered and finding something to suite any palette is never a problem. I tried the Calamari starter and Cafe Burger for mains and both were faultless.
If you're thinking of wandering down to cafe Roux, I would suggest a Sunday afternoon as entertainment is provided by Dan on acoustic guitar and he'll strum away some classics while you enjoy your Cape Town experience in the sun.
