The Blue Bird Garage Market

As you all know I love a good market, so it is with great excitement that I tell you about yet another hidden gem, this time in the seaside town of Muizenberg.  Hidden in a warehouse on Albert road, you will be treated to the best in home made goodies, organically grown veggies and a wonderful atmosphere that makes you want to stay the whole evening.

Starting at 4pm every Friday and going on until 22:00, you can sample food from almost every stall - once you have finally decided on what you would like to eat (you have a huge selection ranging from just about every continent on earth), you can sit at one of the communal tables and just watch the people while satisfying your hunger and your taste buds.

If you are around in September, you should pop into the Blue Bird Garage Market for the Barrel and Brew Festival on September 10th and 11th.  You will have the opportunity to sample artisan's wines, whiskeys, brandy's and even absinthe, gin and of course beer - all of which have been lovingly made by people dedicated to making the finest tasting beverage, with an organic or sustainable element.  Sampling these beverages is usually restricted to 'appointment only' occasions, so come and make the most of it.

The Blue Bird Garage Market is just a few minutes drive from The Constantia, so come and enjoy the best in organic neighbourhood markets - and make sure that you come are hungry :)
