Not such a 'hidden' gem, situated on the busy intersection of Kloof Neck and Burnside road, but certainly one of those places that scream 'locals live here!', The Power & the Glory is a deli by day and a bar by night, serving some of the best coffee (in my opinion) in Cape Town - I love coming to the P & G to meet friends for a quick cuppa or to solve the worlds problems over a beer or two.
Always on the lookout for new places to try and of course delicious food to treat my stomach with, I was eager to head to Boulangerie in Kalk Bay after I’d heard a number of people singing its praises.
A new restaurant opened in my neighbourhood just recently. Raw Café. Initially I thought it might be a raw food place but after scanning the menu a couple of times I was happy that it turned out not to be… Delicious sounding sandwiches, salads and wraps had me salivating even though I’d only JUST had breakfast.
Cape Town is a maze of one-way streets and back alleys. If you know your way around, you may just find great little spots like this hidden gem, Sage Organic, on Hatfield Street in Gardens.
