There are many things which make South African culture unique – things like the fact that we have 11 official languages, having a braai, boerewors and of course biltong. South Africans also love beer and you can be almost 100% guaranteed that if you meet a male South African, if you offer him a drink his first option will be a beer.
November in Cape Town seems to be packed to the brim with boozy festivals, starting off with the Whisky Festival at the start of November and the Festival of Beer ending the month off in style :)
Firstly I'd like to point out that when I'm thirsty I drink French Champagne. Water is so passé. Even after my Cape Town spa treatments, last week, they tried make me drink water. Disgusting! I, obviously, refused and insisted on French Champagne instead! Thank goodness The Last Word boutique hotels all know my water aversion. They know to keep it French and good. Wonderful!
