Green Point Urban Park

In the planning phase for the 2010 Soccer World Cup, there was money put aside by the City of Cape Town to develop the areas surrounding what would be the new Cape Town Stadium, this included upgrades to the Promenade as well as a golf course and an urban park where the Green Point common used to be.

The French Connection

Franschhoek is known for its high concentration of great restaurants, not to mention award winning wine farms and boutique-type shops which line the quaint high street, which looks like it is stuck in the 18th century.  I was in town for the evening and decided to eat at the French Connection - you are totally spoiled for choice when it comes to deciding where to go, so my decision was based purely on how far I was prepared to walk from where I was staying - which wasn't very far although this still puts a handful of restaurants onto the 'options' list.

If you are visiting South Africa and Cape Town in particular, I have no doubt that you have been blown away by the incredible natural diversity which we are blessed with.  From mountains, to oceans, rivers, animals and a floral kingdom which you won't find anywhere else on earth - Cape Town treats us to a feast for the eyes and the senses.

A Hidden Gem worth a visit!

If you are looking for incredible food, great service and value for money then look no further!  La Mouette in Sea Point is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time, I will be making this my default establishment of choice when I feel like treating myself.

Wine Tours of Constantia Valley
