Chameleons at The Constantia

When relaxing around the pool at The Constantia, if you look hard enough, you're likely to find another little hidden gem. The flowers and bushes surrounding the pool are home to a large number of chameleons, and because of the wide variety of flowers and different colours in the flora, no two are likely to look the same.

Cape Town Waterfront gets Princess Emma

The luxurious 25 metre, 78 ton motor yacht, Princess Emma, will be permanently moored at the Cape Town Waterfront from Monday, 26 May 2008, and will be available for charter around the Cape Peninsula and the South African coastline from 1st September.

Certainly not local to Cape Town, but without doubt, the hidden gem of the year so far is Bruce Springsteen's Magic. I picked it up recently and although slightly sceptical, since the dreariness albeit effectiveness of Springsteen's last couple of albums (We shall overcome and Devils and dust), I was excited, after all, the Boss is The Boss and on this album, he shows why.
