Claire is the manageress of The Constantia Retreat.
HTLW: Tell us a little about yourself?
Claire: I’m a hospitailty graduate who loves her job. Passionate about aviation and The Last Word. I enjoy the challenge each new guest offers in order to exceed their greatest expectation.
HTLW: Why do you love working at The Last Word?
Claire: They allow people to express their individuality and provide the freedom to implement ideas to create innovative guest experiences. They’re a caring family, not a company.
HTLW: What’s the funniest moment you’ve had at the Retreat or with a guest?
Claire: From a guest biting into decorative fruit to flooding their rooms with the bath. We have lots of fun together as a team and with the guests.
HTLW: What do you think guests love the most about The Constantia?
Claire: They love the “home away from home” experience where each guest is made to feel special and cared for. They love that we are able to pre-empt their wants and offer little surprises around every corner. Mostly they enjoy our passion and attention to detail.
HTLW: What’s your favourite thing about Cape Town?
Claire: It’s beautiful throughout the year, with each season bringing a new charm. I personally enjoy the outdoors and that there’s constantly something new to discover, you never get bored. And did I mention the beauty…
